Overseas Power Business

Kansai participated in the San Roque Hydroelectric Power Project in 1998 as the first Japanese utility to enter the overseas electric power (IPP) business. So far, we have participated in a total of 23 projects in power generation and transmission fields across 12 countries including the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Australia, Laos, Indonesia, United States, Ireland, United Kingdom, Germany and Finland. The power generation capacity of our IPP business for the investment ratio is about 2,852MW. We aim to make significant contributions to the stable supply of electricity for each country where we are involved.
