Mr. Sato, as the first Nuclear Safety General Manager of Ohi Nuclear Power Station, is earnestly pursuing nuclear safety with his own vision and way of doing business. The General Manager of Ohi Nuclear Power Station puts great confidence of Mr. Sato admiring that "Daily safety improvement activities led by him has been highly valued even by the global nuclear community and also contributing to building the sense of unity at the power station. He is becoming the symbol of safety culture at Ohi Nuclear Power Station beyond the position of Nuclear Safety General Manager". Toward the future
"I think the essence of risk management is thinking something never happens considering that the worst thing occurs at the worst timing. The journey aiming at the excellence of nuclear safety has no goal. We at Ohi Nuclear Power Station does not regard the restarting our plant is the goal. Instead, we will be responsible for safe and stable operation into the future after the resumption of operation in a safe manner. It is our way of doing business to respond to expectations from the general public represented by local residents."
