Romania’s coal-fired thermal power plants are aging, and refurbishment to meet EU environmental regulations was a pressing challenge. To address this challenge, we carried out a feasibility study relating to the conversion of existing coal-fired thermal power plants to low environmental-impact natural gas-fired thermal power plants, and proposed power generation facilities to satisfy operating needs unique to each region.
